I can't tell from your question exactly what you are asking.

Does ALA and curcumin "work with velcade" meaning does curcumin eliminate the body's resistance to velcade?  The article above does not specify which chemos so I would ask your onc this question.

As for the second question, does ALA work for nerve damage?  All I can say is that ALA is one the list of supplements common to lists from places like Dana-Farber to manage peripheral neuropathy so from this perspective, I would say that ALA works for nerve damage.

ALA worked EXCELLENT for us.  Dave took 800 mg 2 daily and up to 2400 mg daily if needed.  We were only asked not to take it during the 4 days of high dose chemotherapy when getting a consolidation or stem cell transplant.  We honored that, and took the neurontin if needed and then switched back to the ALA. You should include B6, B 12 shots if you can get them from your doctor, and folic acid.  PN in healthy people is caused by a Vitamin B deficiency.  Hope that helps.
