Cancer Patients’ Quality of Life Directly Relates to Their Survival

To most/all of the members of beating-myeloma.org the results of this study seem obvious.  I am posting it for newly dx mmers/caregivers and to stress several points-

Complimentary therapies like exercise, supplementation, nutrition, sleep, etc. are not only important in helping you physically but help you feel better allowing for a higher quality of life and therefore longer life.

Aggressive therapy like a high dose chemo in the form of a sct take a toll not only on one's immune system but it makes you feel aweful- your appitite, mind, body, sleep, mood, etc. are all negatively affected.  I believe that this is another reason to pursue low dose therapies of thal, dex, velcade, rev, etc- to minimize side effects.
