Chemo drugs 'destroy brain cells'

When I noticed problems with my thinking 1,2,3 yrs post transplant ('96,'97,'98) the side effect of "chemo brain" was dismissed  by conventional medicine. The side effect gained reluctant acceptance in 2001,2,3- now this kind of study is being done.  The key to high dose therapy is the chemo protective effects of supplementation well documented on the chemo brain page in the side effects section of the b-m.org site. "No patient should stop their treatment because of this research."

The researchers said it might be possible to add protective agents to chemotherapy drugs.
