post sct blues- anyone?

Has anyone else experienced a lack of interest in just about everything
after their SCT?  I don't even have any interest in my business at this
point.  I thought I would do some telecommuting after I got home, but I
don't even feel like using the computer much.  That's very unusual for me.
I realize it hasn't even been two weeks since I got home, but I'm a little
worried.

Thanks,
Beth in NC

Beth,

I did not experinece lack of interest after my SCT, although until I grew hair on my head (two months) and therefore was better able to maintain body heat it did make focusing difficult. Wearing a ski cap all the time did help.

Let us not kid ourselves knowing you have a disease with no current cure can be overwhelming. Some of us deal with this better than others; however, it is not a weakness. In my opinion it is absolutely critical to your quality of life and even length of life to keep your mind occupied. If you need help with a antidepressant and/or counciling my suggestion is to get it and the sooner the better. Get advice from someone you trust who has gone through this for any reason, it does not have to be someone experiencing cancer.

Stay strong/get strong.

i just got off an sct 7/24/07. the first 2 or 3 weeks home all i wanted to do was sit in the back yard and watch birds. now i'm back at work with all my energy. i had the same delusions of telecommuting. it took a while to get my attention span back. the best part of an sct for me was being home and not having to do anything for a while. just relax and build your strength. Though i will admit to being blue before the sct. i don't feel that way now.
