Peripheral Neuropathy and supplements

from the acor list

Here's a 2004 presentation from Oncology Nursing Society. Among other
things, it's discussing possible supplements and it gives a dose for
ALA and carnitine:

"Alternative therapies such as alpha lipoic acid (an antioxidant)
400 mg twice daily, L-carnitine 500 mg once per day, and B-complex
vitamins have been used as well. Glutamine also has been used four
days post-treatment. Magnesium is contraindicated for use with
Neurontin. MacGregor-Cortelli said that rubbing capsaicin cream
vigorously into the bottom of the feet may promote circulation and
alleviate neuropathy."
