There is a new group for people with MGUS, Smouldering/Asymtomatic Myeloma and Multiple Myeloma. I have started this group so that people with three myeloma related conditions can meet in one place and share information and their journeys, whilst still belonging to their own stage groups. Please take a look, the group is brand new as of yesterday 8th March 2008. I have startedto post some links and have 3 members so far.

When I joined this yahoo group this am (10:00am 3/10) there were already 8 members. It's interesting- mm is an obscure group with about 15,000 dx each year, 50,000 alive in the us today, mgus is even smaller, now comes a smaller group still, the intersection of mgus, smm and mm.
I believe that all are helped through interactive health communication. The curcumin patient study is now 21 entries with 10 of those 21 as either mgus or smm. While this study is only anectodal, I think it interesting that curcumin seems to benefit mgus/smm dispropotionately. As Margaret said, she couldn't just "wait for the other shoe to drop." David
