I have had 9 bone marrow biopsies in 6 years. For me, they were very painful. After 4 bmbs, I found the Goldenberg Snare Coil bone marrow needle on the internet. It is now called the Ranfac needle. Here is the website. I found them to reduce the pain 80% +. I won't do a bmb without the snare coil for specimen and aspirate withdrawal.
