thalidomide

I wrote a post similar to this to the acor list, which was censored, as usual.  After that I was booted off permanently, since I told the listserv owner he is NOT a doctor, although more and more he seems to think he is some sort of mm specialist.

At any rate,

Thalidomide

Thalidomide ALONE does not cause DVT nor blood clots

Thalidomide + dex causes both, as does Revlimid (but to a reduce extent)

Thalidomide is NOT hard on the marrow.

Wikipedia had no page for CC-4047- the page for lenalidomide referred to CC-4047 which is why I am including the wiki article in this subject page.

Researchers from the University of Arkansas have reported that the addition of Thalomid (thalidomide) to autologous stem cell transplantation does not improve survival for patients with newly diagnosed multiple myeloma. The details of this study appeared in an article recently published in the March 9, 2006 issue of the New England Journal of Medicine.
