An article in The Myeloma Beacon cites a study in the journal Nature that states that vitamin C supplementation inhibits velcade therapy in myeloma patients.
"Vitamin C (ascorbic acid) significantly reduces the activity of Velcade (bortezomib) in treatment of multiple myeloma, according to a recent article published in Nature."
In the lab, curcumin has been studied for use in treating or preventing colon, skin and breast cancers.
If the Mayo Clinic is discussing curcumin supplementation and cancer I think b-m.org members should know about it.

Curcumin, a substance found in the spice turmeric, has long been used in Asian medicine to treat maladies ranging from heartburn to arthritis. Now some recent research suggests that curcumin may help prevent or treat cancer.
