Multiple myeloma is characterized by the accumulation of clonal malignant plasma cells in the bone marrow, which stimulates bone destruction by osteoclasts and reduces bone formation by osteoblasts. In turn, the changed bone microenvironment sustains survival of myeloma cells. Therefore, a challenge for treating multiple myeloma is discovering drugs targeting not only myeloma cells but also osteoclasts and osteoblasts.

Inflammation and cancer
To think that today’s irritation, an itch, rash, sore throat, cough, swelling,

research within the last half a century has made it clear that human body is
made up of approximately 25,000 genes. It is the choreography between
these genes and their interaction with the environment has been found to

Introduction
Plants have played a significant role in maintaining human health and improving the quality of human life for thousands of years, and have served humans well as valuable components of foods, seasonings, beverages, cosmetics, dyes, and medicines.

We hypothesized that exposure to

The population of CD34 cells in the peripheral circulation of humans

cells increased eightfold, although the overall circulating white cell
count was not significantly increased. The number of colony-forming
