I've heard many multiple myeloma survivors say that they don't want their cancer to define them.  The problem is that after your multiple myeloma diagnosis, those around you will never look at you the same way again.  They then decide how you are defined.  Understanding how a cancer diagnosis could affect your relationships will be important to you and those close to you.
