While I don't think that learning about some of the ethical issues in the world of oncology would have helped my fight early on, I do think that awarenes of ethics issues over the past several years has helped me understand some of the forces which guide the world of myeloma.

Issues to be addressed in the coming months will be:

1) money in medicine 

2) conflicts of interest in the medical world

3) risks vs. rewards in therapy- clinical trials
