Antineoplastons - Burzynski

The topic of antineoplastons, Dr. Stanislaw Burzynski and the Burzynski Research Institute in Houston Texas is both confusing and worth understanding.

Through this page I will discuss antineoplaston therapy with my personal experiences and those of two other multiple myeloma survivors, Dagmar Burkhart, JP(name to come), a current Burzynski patient- Hans Yeager. The links to clinic trials provide antineoplaston therapy information and several articles that explain antineoplaston itself along with articles I include that speak to the tension between Burzynski and conventional medicine.

Dagmar Burkhart's story-

By the time she (Dagmar) started the Burzynski treatment, her IgG number had gone
up to 3,500. Can't remember what IgG was at time of diagnosis about 9 months
before. While on Burzynski treatment - IgG dropped by 100 points every
month for four years.

"Diagnosed July 92. Currently check Mspike and B2M, IgG every four months
and nothing shows up. Still sees the same oncologist whom has supportive
of her efforts with Burzynski.

Oncologist said that she had an "indolent myeloma" and just watched it
when diagnosed in July of 92. Dagmar was only his second myeloma patient.
Bone scan in August said everything was okay. Then a December scan showed a
femur lesion. By December of 92, she had 5 lesions.

Started Burzynski treatment Feb 93 after reading about him in Ralph Moss'
book. And, she met a doctor who went Burzynski in 1988 and was doing well 3
years later. In 96 she heard that he passed away from the secondary
cancer from the radiation treatment.

then went up and stabilized at 2,000 until she got in the accident and
went on Decadron. Confirmed bone lesion free in Feb 95.

Worked with Dr. Burzynski until 98 until she was in a car accident and
went on Decadron for two months while in the hospital due to the hematoma and
swelling in the brain. She was in the hospital for a couple of months and
the IgG went down while on the Decadron to 450 when she got out of the
hospital in September of 99.

Type of Burzynski treatment - capsule anti-neoplaston (72 capsules per
day, 12 every four hours; started with 35 then went to 50 then 60 then up to
72. Also took self injections of Interferon for a year.
After bone lesions cleared up, took Pamitronade (IV) like Zometa, for nine
months starting in 96 to 97 but stopped because of an allergic reaction in
the eyes. She took this to increase bone mass and it did work for this."
